University of London.  School of Slavonic and East European Studies

MA in Hungarian Language and South East European History. Dissertation: a history of the Banat and Backsa, regions straddling the modern borders of Hungary, Romania and Serbia.

ESRC-sponsored period of research for a PhD on ethnographic cartography and the population history of that same region.

Office for National Statistics (ONS)

Joined ONS  before I was able to complete the PhD. Have worked for Small Area Estimation, Spatial Analysis and Data Visualisation Geography Research and GIS and Mapping teams.


SECOND MASTER'S DEGREE

Two-year distance-learning, part-time MSc in Geographic Information Science at the Department of Geography, Birkbeck, University of London. Merit for the degree as a whole. The dissertation was awarded a distinction.
